306/306L stainless steel coil, An austenitic chromium-nickel molybdenum stainless and heat-resisting steel, Type 316/316L has an excellent corrosion resistance particularly against pitting versus other chromium-nickel steels, especially when exposed to different chemicals.  These corrodents consist of brine solutions, seawater, and similar salts and acids.  This alloy deep draws well and is easily welded, although carbide precipitation may occur when slowly cooled through the temperature range of 800°-1650°F.  High strength and the resistance to creep at elevated temperatures characterize type 316.Applications include builder’s hardware, chemical processing equipment, fabricated parts subjected to reducing atmospheres, fertilizer components, exhaust manifolds, turbine and jet engine parts.

306/306L stainless steel coil difference: first of all, there is a difference in composition, 316L is ultra-low carbon, L represents low carbon, so the carbon content of 316L material is lower than 316 material. Secondly, corrosion resistance is different, 316L stainless steel grain boundary corrosion resistance is better, corrosion and rust prevention ability is also better. The strength of the two materials is also different. The strength of 316L material is lower than that of 316, which is convenient for processing. In addition, the weld section of 316 stainless steel needs to be annealed after welding, while 316L stainless steel does not.
